Overview

Our division was established in March 2017. We are responsible for infection control in patients diagnosed and treated at the hospital, as well as in staff and students. We promote the improvement of the infection control system in the hospital by ensuring infection prevention in the hospital and utilizing the results of various surveillance activities.

Education Details

- We aim to develop medical personnel who understand the main routes of transmission of healthcare-associated infections and who are able to practice appropriate infectious disease treatment and infection control measures.
- We aim to develop medical personnel who have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary for infection prevention to protect their own health when working as medical personnel.

Research Details

Our division conducts research on occupational infection control among healthcare workers, molecular epidemiological analysis of pathogens involved in outbreaks to identify the source and routes of infection, examination of effective infection prevention measures by pathogen and evaluation through practice, and development of educational tools for healthcare workers.
