Medical unit using honeyrial cardboard
A medical unit using a cardboard with a honeycomb structure (honeyrial cardboard) is being developed jointly with Kanda Package Company. Honeyrial cardboard has a character of light weight and high strength. The unit consists of multiple cardboard panels, and the panels can be connected with each other so that no tools such as a screwdriver are required and its assembly can be done quickly and easily. So far, we have developed an emergency treatment unit, an infection control unit, and a fever outpatient unit, and we have also installed the unit to the affected areas of Kumamoto earthquake in 2018. It can be stored in a small space by folding, and can be disposed by incineration if it gets dirty with blood. Currently, we are improving the unit for introduction in Japan and overseas.
