School of Nursing, Basic Education

Basic Education in the School of Nursing consists of two fields: English and Sociology. English is now the most international language, and the main focus is not only to acquire the ability to read, listen, write, and speak, but also to learn the history and culture behind what is expressed through English, and to hone one's sensitivity and internationality as a person. Sociology is designed to allow students to acquire communication skills that can be applied in medical practice and to learn experientially about methodologies for understanding human groups, rather than focusing solely on theory. Common to all these studies is the most important basic attitude (philosophy) of the nursing profession: "understanding people.
