Community Nursing

Overview

People with diverse health, lifestyles, and values live in communities, and their health and welfare needs are becoming more diverse. Community nursing targets individuals, families, groups, and regions, and nursing activities take place in a variety of fields, including public health (government), home care, and industry.
In an aging society with a declining birthrate, the issues faced by the target population are becoming increasingly complex and diverse, and in order to solve these issues, the nursing profession requires high-quality nursing practice and research skills based on scientific evidence, team care and networking to meet diverse needs, and the qualities as community nursing professionals who can build and implement comprehensive community care systems.
Therefore, students will learn various support methods (individual, group, organizational, and community support) to enhance the quality of practice according to the needs and problem solving of various subjects of community nursing, theories, development methods and evaluation of health promotion and health education, nursing development through participation of the concerned parties, and practical research methods such as action research. Our program aims to develop human resources who can explore practical and research methods to solve problems on their own, based on domestic and international health issues, trends in community nursing, previous research in related fields, and theories and methods related to community nursing.
